Volunteer
Fundraising Coordinator
This is an exciting opportunity for
someone with fundraising skills to help us with our new fundraising drive.
We are looking for someone to coordinate a
small team of volunteer fundraisers to help us raise money so that we can
maintain our valuable service to clients.
At Banbury CAB our aims are:
- To provide free, confidential advice and
assistance on a wide range of topics, in particular debt, housing,
employment, welfare benefits, consumer issues and family problems.
- To help people resolve their problems by
providing information and advice about their rights and legal obligations,
so that with our help and guidance they can resolve matters for themselves.
- To provide an accessible, high quality
service that meets the diverse needs of the community.
- To provide excellent value for money
through extensive use of volunteer staff.
- To make use of the experience and
knowledge we gain from working with individual clients to try to influence
policy makers and prevent similar problems arising for others.
We receive money from a variety of sources
but our income is not sufficient to cover our running costs. We are also acutely
aware that we are not meeting demand for our services – one third of those who
visit our office in Banbury go away without seeing an adviser.
We plan to set up a variety of fundraising
initiatives, including both small and large events.
If you are persuasive, creative,
enthusiastic, have good communication and organisational skills, local
knowledge, and would like to be involved with Banbury CAB, please get in touch
and we will tell you more about what is involved.
Contact Anne Reynolds, Bureau Manager, on
Banbury 259698, or write to Banbury CAB, 26 Cornhill, Banbury, OX16 5NG, or

If fundraising is not for you, we would be happy to hear from you if you
would like to be involved in other ways – we are currently recruiting for our
volunteer adviser training course.
